Know About TAF Agri-Tourism Farm & Our History

Trained Apiary Farmers (TAF) Assured Mixed Enterprises started as a small scale farm in 2008, with a primary intention of increasing the honey, fruits production and mixed farming as a business. The farm has 250 improved traditional bee hives, known as “Tugu” and 15 KTB hives that was support under NAADS program. We registered as a CBO with the Sub County authority on 8th April 2011with the intention of providing skills, knowledge, materials, market and later to add value on our products.

Mr. Tom Anyii Okello (Managing director)

Holds a bachelor’s degree in social works and social administration, He conceived this idea during the workshop organized on Economic Management and Transformation by the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development and office of the President in 2007 in Kyankwanzi. Tom has extensively traveled to several other study tours like in Masaka, Mityana under President of the Republic Uganda’s directives and Soroti, Arua, and other districts in Western Uganda from where he attained the inspirations and skills in beekeeping and fruit trees planting. He has great skills in organization.

Land Cover
The farm started on four acres of land that was customary owned it was four (4) acres and later in 2010 the farm extension was expanded of eight acres of land which was bought and currently the total land coverage which is fully utilized is twelve (12) acres. In 2019 we expanded 4 acres were Taf Agri-Tourism farm and a training Institute is established. That now makes a total of 16 acres’ farm land in used.
Legal Status
TAF Assured Mixed Enterprises registered with the Uganda Registration Service Bureau (URSB) on 05th Feb. 2014 as a Limited Liability Company, with the mission of poverty eradication by increasing honey production in the region.
